Belonging to Wycombe

We're delighted to share that the "Belonging in Wycombe" workshop series, developed by our own volunteer Emmanuel Leon in partnership with We Make Wycombe, launches this September.

Over six free sessions, participants will explore what home and community mean to them in High Wycombe. True to Refresh Wycombe's spirit, every session is built around sustainable, upcycled materials donated through our shop, so the making is as circular as the conversation.

The series runs mostly in the evening from 2nd September to 4th November at the We Make Wycombe Hub, 1-2 Cornmarket. It's open to adults of all ages, no experience needed, all materials provided, though spaces are limited so early registration is encouraged.

Each session has its own theme. You’ll be able to explore ideas such as Imagining Wycombe, Exploring the Town, Sharing our Journeys, and Constructing a Wycombe for All, finding out what it means to you, and sharing with the other participants. And across the six weeks you will have an opportunity to experience a whole range of different creative approaches, from a mixed media collage, through recycled modelling, photo voice and body mapping. A real opportunity for exploration and learning.

Full details can be found on this poster. Please register here for these events.

We can’t wait to see what our community shapes together.
